Check an appliance error code
Safety rule: stop when there is smoke, sparking, a burning smell, electric-shock signs, an active leak, cracked hob glass or suspected gas. Disconnect only when it is safe to do so.
Enter a code or choose a brand and appliance type. The database gives indicative meaning — the same code can differ between product series.
Important: do not buy a part based only on a code. Read the full model, check the manufacturer manual and note accompanying symptoms.
How to use an error code correctly
- Photograph the code before resetting.
- Record the full model and product number.
- Note at which stage of a cycle the code appears.
- Perform only user-level checks.
- Give the code together with symptoms to the technician.
